Undersea Defence Technology Asia (UDT) 2018 took place on the 30th and 31st of January 2018 in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Following from the runaway success last year, UDT Asia 2019 will strategically showcase the changes from yesteryear, recent technical and operational challenges both from an industry and military perspective and cost-efficiency innovations to modernise existing platforms concerning the underwater community.
As the most direct path from Asia to Europe, the South China Sea will only grow in strategic importance throughout the next decade, and regional powers must develop the capabilities required to defend their own interests. UDT Asia 2019 will explore cost-efficient innovations aimed at modernising existing platforms as well as novel solutions to new and existing problems.
From both an industry and military perspective, UDT Asia 2019 acts as the region’s meeting place for the exploration of the latest technologies, challenges and future requirements of operating and excelling in an increasingly contested underwater domain.
The conference and exhibition will bring together leading experts and organisations that specialise in modernising and retrofitting offensive & defensive platforms, unmanned systems and underwater seabed sensors. There will be a key emphasis on the increasing significance of unmanned and autonomous vehicles and how these are catalysing a revolution in underwater operations.
